9 MPSSAA state championships
Coach Rachel Miller (Brashear) served as coach to the Smithburg HS volleyball team for 19 years. During her tenure with the team she lead them to 9 state championships. She compiled a 259-75 record (.775 winning percentage) and led the Leopards to nine Class 1A state titles in an 11-year span from 2009-2019, setting the state record for volleyball coaching titles
Coach Rachel recognized by Smithsburg Mayor
The town government commended and recognized Brashear's contributions to the Smithsburg community and the positive influence on the student-athletes who have played for her.
