Emma Brashear is an intense, high-energy defensive specialist whose passion, voice, and heart immediately elevate the court. She grew up in Smithsburg, spending countless hours on the sidelines watching her mom coach and learning from the many talented athletes who came through the program.

Surrounded by strong role models and a winning culture, Emma developed a deep love for the game and a competitive edge that shows in every play.

She fuels up with popcorn or salad before matches and locks in with “Money in the Grave” by Drake & Rick Ross.

To Emma, Rogue is family—a supportive, encouraging environment with a special game-day vibe she hadn’t experienced before. She loves that the team clicked quickly, plays hard, and competes with positive energy while still having fun. Known for relentless effort, loud communication, and nonstop hype for her teammates, Emma plays with confidence, emotion, and purpose.

She aspires to play volleyball at the collegiate level at a school that challenges her athletically and academically—ideally near the beach.

My goal is to find a college that is the best overall fit for me, both academically, athletically, and personally. I hope to continue playing volleyball at the next level because I truly love to compete and challenge myself every day. The energy, discipline, and teamwork that come with the sport are things I want to carry with me into my college experience.

I’m looking for a program where I can thrive as both a student and an athlete — a place that will push me in the classroom and on the court. Academically, I am interested in pursuing a path in pre-law or psychology, and I’m excited to explore opportunities that will prepare me for a meaningful and impactful career.

Most importantly, I want to be part of a team and campus community that feels like home,  somewhere I can grow, contribute, and become the best version of myself.
